Union safety and training is very important to all of us here at the IUPAT. We work hard to ensure that our members remain up-to-date on the most recent changes in safety procedures and require mandatory safety classes as part of our trade members’ continuing education program. It’s so important that we offer a recognition program called STAR (Safety Training Awards Recognition) where points are used to reward members attending union training sessions required by IUPAT and those that are offered from other training facilities. We feel it’s important to give a pat on the back for those who are dedicated to preparedness, prevention and doing their jobs to the best of their ability in a safe and supportive work environment.
