To better serve our members, the IUPAT DC 46 unveiled its Union Health and Dental Centre on Toro Road, Toronto, this past year. The goal of the Centre has always been to provide a one-stop healthcare resource location for members of IUPAT involved in trades ranging from painting to drywall finishing, as well as their families. Now, a new service has been unveiled: a state-of-the-art optical center.
Welcome to Trades Optical
Trades Optical, now open in the Union Health and Dental Centre, provides the following eye care services for all IUPAT members and members of their immediate families:
- Eye exams
- Glasses
- Contact lenses
- Prescription sunglasses
Their robust service is headed by trained opticians and optical technicians who are passionate about serving their clientele. It’s an exciting addition to the Centre, and one that will only improve the Centre’s importance to IUPAT members.
An Eye on the Future…
It’s safe to say that we have a definite “eye” on the future of the health of all our IUPAT members. Whether you’re a drywall finisher, a painter or a glazier, you’ll appreciate the services you get at the Centre. Don’t put off making an appointment to see an eye care professional. Even if you haven’t noticed any problems, it’s important to have a yearly exam. Plus, it’s essential for your children, who might not realize that they are nearsighted or farsighted without the help of an optician.
