Have you been following the progress of the new building for IUPAT Ontario? Construction of the new headquarters, located next to our current location at 130 Toro Road, began in July 2013 and has been coming along nicely, despite delays Winter weather has caused. Currently, we are painting the interior and doing other final finishing. We’re excited to announce that our new facility should be open in late Summer 2014.
IUPAT Ontario’s headquarters will feature a new, spacious meeting hall where locals can hold meetings and other union-related events. Additionally, those who work in our offices will have a larger work area. As before, we will also house the Benefit Plan administrators. This retains a great advantage to our members who have easier access to those who can answer questions about benefits and more.
Many have been asking about the status of the current facility at 130 Toro Road. The good news is that OIFSC Training Centre will be expanding to add more training space for our members. More details about the current building will be released when they have been solidified.
