Important Notice to Members of the Painters that Work Under the Provincial ICI Agreement
Today, the members of the Painters Union that work under the Painters’ ICI Agreement voted by a margin of 75% – 25% to end the strike and to have the renewal of the collective agreement determined by final and binding arbitration. As you are aware, as part of the arbitration agreement between the Union and the Employers, wage increases imposed by the arbitrator in that arbitration will be retroactive to July 3, 2022.
In accordance with the results of the vote, the Union hereby advises that the strike ends at midnight tonight and members are to return to work tomorrow, June 29, 2022 as scheduled by their Employer.
