As you are all aware or should be aware by now, Health and Safety Training has been MANDATORY in the Ontario Construction Industry in the Province for many years. This training includes but is not limited to WHMIS, PEWP, Suspended Access Equipment, Fall Protection (soon to be called Working at Heights), Ladders and Scaffolds to name just a few in a long list of training courses in the Construction Industry. Each year this list grows as the Province attempts to protect the lives of all workers in the Construction Industry.

Are you looking to become a unionized glazier and metal mechanic in Ontario? Or are you interested in an apprenticeship for a career in the trade? An announcement has been made that glazier and metal mechanics are changing their name to Architectural Glass & Metal Technicians. The trade is well represented by the IUPAT in Ontario, and an intensive training program is provided in collaboration with OIFSC. This construction trade offers pay rates of up to $33.64 in addition to pension plans, benefits and vacation pay.
